On September 2014, JMH Development announced the topping off of the Aloft South Beach hotel. The Hotel was to be the newest in the area with the last one having been constructed in 2009. The construction was to be done by Plaza Construction and was predicted to have 253 larger rooms than its rivals. Moreover, the hotel was scheduled to be opened in early 2015.
