On September 2014, JMH Development announced the topping off of the Aloft South Beach hotel. The Hotel was to be the newest in the area with the last one having been constructed in 2009. The construction was to be done by Plaza Construction and was predicted to have 253 larger rooms than its rivals. Moreover, the hotel was scheduled to be opened in early 2015.

The Aloft South Beach hotel was projected to provide a waterfront location with access to Lake Pancoast and the Collins Canal. The guests at the hotel will have access to an outdoor pool, a 24-hr gym, roof deck lounge and a 2350 square feet space perfect for social and business meetings.
